Transformed by Christ, we will TELL the world, TEACH the world, TOUCH the world.

Meet Our Interns!

We are blessed to have two young men join our youth and college ministry teams as interns.  Their presence and energy will certainly enhance our ministries.

Stephen Nelson comes to us from Ocala, Florida.  He graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama just a few weeks ago.  During his time at Samford Stephen studied religion and philosophy.  These are perfect subjects for him to have under his belt as he hopes to continue on to seminary in the coming years.  Stephen has also served in various ministry roles including youth and children’s camps and he worked with a Methodist Church in Birmingham that works specifically to serve the homeless.  He is a true leader who enjoys teaching as well as learning. His other hobbies include photography, hiking, pottery, and heart-to-heart conversations.  He is a big fan of Chai tea and cheese burgers.  Stephen brings a great passion for Christ and desires to help our youth and college students in their journey to follow Christ.
Grady Milligan grew up in Powell, Tennessee and currently attends Maryville College.  He is working toward a degree in music and sings in the choir as part of his studies.  Grady is very excited to be in ministry with Maryville FUMC as a youth intern and a worship leader.  He has worked the past few weeks with the youth band and they sound great!  Grady also enjoys performing with his Christian metal band, One Who Conquers.  Grady can also be found enjoying a chicken and rice bowl at Osaka’s Japanese restaurant or somewhere outside where he can play soccer or Ultimate Frisbee.  Grady has a deep passion for worship and finds meaning in various worship settings.  He hopes to help our youth feel the same passion for praising the name of Jesus.
