We hope that you will find First United Methodist Church to be a warm and welcoming fellowship. We invite you to join us in worship, Bible studies and fellowship.
We encourage our members and visitors to become involved in study, growth, and the support that comes from small group fellowship. Parking
If you are visiting us for the first time, please park in any of the "guest" parking spaces found in the parking lots located on each side of the church. Additional parking is in the back and across the street in front of Maryville Middle School.
Spaces are also marked for "Seniors" or those who have health problems or difficulty in walking. Spaces for persons with handicapped tags are located on the upper level parking nearest the covered entry and also on the lower level near the covered entrance. Spaces for Parents of small children are located on the lower level near the covered entrance. A convenient covered entrance for drive through and drop off is located on the upper level. This entry and the front doors lead directly to the sanctuary. To attend services in Asbury Hall, come in the side entrance and go left to the elevator to the lower level, or park on the lower level and enter from the covered walkways. Children
Children are always welcome in each of our worship services. However, a fully staffed nursery is provided in our children's hall on the lower level. You will need to sign your child in and out of the nursery and you will be given a pager in case the staff needs to contact you. Please pack extra diapers, security blankets or special toys or foods you child needs. Read more about our Pre-school Ministry.
Children ages 3 through Third grade are invited to participate in KIDS OWN WORSHIP. Children going with their parents to the 10:30 am Sanctuary Service or to The Crossing in Asbury Hall will be invited early in the service to be escorted by children's staff members to go to the children's hall for a worship experience designed especially for their age levels.
Dress
Our two worship services held in the gym (Asbury Hall) are designed to be more informal than the traditional worship in the sanctuary. However, you will see everything from jeans to suits and dresses, so dress however you are comfortable. |
